Supporting Dreams and Keeping Arts A-Live!

Kids on stage for Junior Company Foundation

Junior Company Foundaton

The Junior Company Foundation (JCF) is dedicated to promoting and advancing the Good Company Players’ Junior Company, a troupe of budding actors in the 8-16 age range who are trained by GCP staff to learn acting, dancing, and singing skills with the explicit purpose of performing in mini-revues before all GCP mainstage productions. The JCF was created as an additional support net for the Junior Company, in order to help provide these creative youths with more opportunities to grow their talents, express their creativity, and gain experience working with others and performing in front of audiences.

We help with everything from fundraising to event planning, and let the members of the Junior Company assist in every step of the leadership process (we even have juniors on our board).

In addition to these efforts, the JCF also believes in focusing on providing support programs that reach out to our community at large and encourages access, training, and performing arts exposure. Part of these efforts include offering training scholarships to all local children, between the ages of 8 and 20, as well as outreach efforts with our Audience Arts A-Live! And our For the Love of the Arts programs. The JCF also regularly hosts educational masterclasses and musical theater intensives that are open to our community.

Our ultimate goal is to build up professional, skilled, and empowered youth, who can take the skills they’ve learned and continue to grow with their talents, and apply it to their adult lives, whether they continue working in the theatre or not.
